Ruck me, Maul me, Make me scrum

The University of Hartford Women's Rugby team is considered a club sport and competes against other college teams in the New England area. We are a group of young ladies that pride ourselves with strong dedication to the sport of rugby as well as a keen sense of teamwork. In the fall of 2009, we made our way to the NERFU Division IV Championships and ended up as runner-ups. This allowed us to move our standing from Division IV to Division III which is where we currently stand. We are working very hard to keep moving up and hope to eventually end up as a Division I club. 

In the Fall, we play competitively as this is our season to move up in our conference and make it to playoffs and nationals. In the Spring, we focus on allowing younger players to gain more experience and compete in a variety of tournaments. We always compete in the Beast of the East tournament towards the end of our Spring season which is the biggest inter-collegiate rugby tournament in the country.
